Have you ever daydreaming or falling asleep in the class? I am sure you do. For many people, being forced to sit in a boring class may be their worst nightmare in school. And, sometimes when teachers are extremely boring, the only thing you can do to free yourself is daydreaming. But luckily for some students in China, a teacher can feel the boredom from students and adjust their teaching style.
A computer science professor in China has developed a facial detection system to know if students are getting bored. His system can distinguish the human expression to know if the students are bored. Thus, he can know the result of his class and adjust his teaching style.

After the system scans the expression of students, it can turn it into scores and know if the students are happy or not. It can also display the scores on the screen in real time so that the professor can adjust his teaching to get students’ attention.
In the future, the professor plans to add expression detection of daydreaming and napping. In addition to being used in the classroom, the system can also be used in the mall to know the feedback of commercial. For the system, the ultimate goal of it is to distinguish the expression and action to prevent potential crimes.
